My Story

Hi, My name is Nigel Hudson and I am a photographer living near Great Bedwyn, close to Marlborough in Wiltshire. When Lockdown was announced in March, I set up a personal project to create a unique image for every day that the restrictions were in force. I could no longer travel and so the subject matter for this project has been sourced from my immediate environment. I named the project SPLENDID ISOLATION and the  pictures have featured daily on MY INSTAGRAM FEED and also on  MY WEBSITE

As the project matured and the Coronavirus crisis worsened, I knew that I had to do something to help the amazing NHS front line workers. They became the nations saviours and I wanted to help in any way I could. My wife Susannah works as a physiotherapist at Great Western Hospital and she suggested that the perfect charity to support would be BRIGHTER FUTURES the fundraising arm for GREAT WESTERN HOSPITAL in Swindon.

I ran a silent auction of prints from the images that I created with an initial target of £1,000.00. The auction surpassed my wildest expectations and we raised £3,324.00.

The auction has now ended and although the lockdown restrictions have been eased, there are still many challenges that we all face. I want to continue my support for Brighter Futures in any way I can. And so I have ctreated a new iniative that reflects our new circumstances. A new portfolio of images that celebrates our new but cautious freedom.

Throughout the long weeks and months of Lockdown, we all took a closer look at aspects of our life that perhaps we took for granted. The familiar often gets overlooked but as a photographer it became clear that there was much to be gained from taking a second look.

BEYOND BOUNDARIES is a new set of pictures derived from familiar territory. The familiar, re-observed. The images are available to purchase as limited edition fine art, framed prints. They are digitally signed and beautifully but simply mounted and framed. They are deliberately affordably priced and free courier delivery to your front door is included. My pledge is to make a donation to Brighter Futures of £25.00 on each sale.

If you are looking for affordable, ready to hang artworks for your home, office or special place and would like to help an amzing group of people, please take a look at my constantly evolving portfolio BEYOND BOUNDARIES.
